Joanna took her journey to Heaven Friday evening at 6:42. Her sister Jennie wrote the following:
“Dear Joanna Jackson is with her Saviour tonight - whole, healthy and happy. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. My precious baby sister is now in the presence of her Lord and Saviour. Life will never be the same without her here, but Heaven definitely became a sweeter place today.”
Thank you for all the time and life you invested in prayer for Joanna. Her testimony, up until she finally met Jesus face-to-face, was all wrapped up in the verse she claimed for her cancer diagnosis, "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death." (Philippians 1:20)
I know that many of you will want to express your love for her in some tangible way. Joanna penned these words long before this day ever came, “In lieu of flowers, please have people give money toward the handicap ramp, and get that thing built ASAP. We NEED it!” Her words say it all.
As it stands right now, Joanna’s funeral service will be held next Saturday afternoon, August 31, at 2:00, here at Timberline.

Again, thank you for all the love you have expressed and prayers you have offered on behalf of Joanna and her family. "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." (1 Thessalonians 4:13)
Thank the Lord, we’ll never say good bye in Glory!
